Stackability and Stability
The Loopipak boxes are made from 3.5 to 4 mm thick corrugated polypropylene sheets, which provide them with robustness and rigidity. This design ensures a solid structure that can withstand significant vertical pressure when stacked. The rigidity is maintained during multiple reuses, guaranteeing optimal durability.
1. Stacking Capacity
The Loopipak boxes are designed to be stacked in a stable and secure manner. Depending on the dimensions and weight of the goods inside, they can be stacked up to 4 levels on a standard pallet, with a maximum weight of 30 kg per box. This capacity depends on the nature of the contents, filling, and specific stability requirements.
2. Factors Influencing Stackability
- Weight of the Contents : As with any stacking solution, the heavier the contents, the fewer Loopipak boxes should be stacked, as the pressure on the lower boxes increases.
- Stability of the Contents :It is important to ensure stability during stacking. The contents of the Loopipak boxes must be evenly distributed to guarantee uniform weight distribution and avoid tipping during stacking.
- Box Dimensions : Just like cardboard boxes, Loopipak boxes with a large footprint tend to better support the load of stacked boxes. However, excessively large dimensions can weaken the structure if not filled and stacked properly.
Unlike cardboard, moisture cannot affect the strength of Loopipak boxes. In a humid environment, cardboard can lose its rigidity, reducing stackability; this is not the case with Loopipak boxes, which are made exclusively from plastic materials.
3. Stabilization Systems
To optimize safety during transport or storage, Loopipak boxes on a pallet should be secured using Loopipak pallet covers.
5. Stacking Limits
It is recommended to evaluate the maximum load that each pallet can support based on the contents. This ensures optimal stability and reduces the risk of tipping or damage during storage and transport..
We do not recommend stacking two loaded pallets on top of each other. It is very difficult to predict stability and strength, which depend on the respective loads, their distribution, and any potential pressure points.
Our boxes are stronger than cardboard, but as a safety rule, we recommend following the same stacking guidelines as for cardboard boxes.
